Robert Gordon university is conducting research into the reliability of witnesses in court.
The experiment, run by RGU's Law and Applied Social Sciences Department aims to find out how to make witnesses evidence in court clearer and more reliable.

The research has been ongoing and preliminary conclusions have already been reached, however RGU is now appealing for volunteers to help verify the results.

Participants will be expected to take part in an introductory briefing and a mock trial and stand to win a multimedia player or £150 of shopping vouchers.

Principal investigator, Derek Auchie, said: "The project has been going for a few years and now we're trying to get it all wrapped up. We have had a number of volunteers from a wide range of ages and backgrounds and the idea now is that over the next few months we can analyse the data and look at how witnesses can remember facts and how reliable they are when giving evidence."

Anyone interested in participating in the trial can contact Mr Auchie on 01224 263425 or by email on d.p.auchie@rgu.ac.uk.
