The Proclaimers have announced a date at the AECC as part of their UK tour this year.
The Scottish band will play in the arena on Saturday 17th November, their first Aberdeen show since 2009.

This will be their third time playing at the AECC.

The band, made up of twin brothers Craig and Charlie Reid, are famous for anthems such as "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)", "Sunshine on Leith" and "I'm on My Way".

Their six-week UK tour is their first set of shows since the band's 95-date world tour in 2009. The brothers have made main stage appearances at festivals such as T in the Park.

Craig and Charile said: "We are very excited to be playing Scottish shows again after a long absence and look forward to the tour immensely."

Brian Horburgh, managing director of the AECC, said: "The north-east audience love The Proclaimers, as was apparent at their shows here in 2007 and 2009.

"It is brilliant they are returning to AECC and will add further diversity to our fantastic line-up for 2012."

Tickets for the show are on sale on Friday 9th March at 10am and are priced at £26.50. They are available from Ticketmaster on 08444 77 9000 or online at www.ticketmaster.co.uk.
