Alongside gathering general views on community safety, the survey also explored the impact of alcohol on the community, safety on the road and community safety priorities.
The results of the survey showed that the number of panel members who have seen or been a victim of criminal or anti-social behaviour has fallen in the last two years.
Grampian Police figures for recorded crime are also falling, and attitudes towards crime are slowly changing to reflect the decline.
75% of people who responded to the survey said fear of crime had no impact or only a minor impact on their life, compared to 70% last year.
Only 3% of respondents felt that fear of crime had a major impact on their life. This figure was down from 8% last year.
